Hotel Savoia E Jolanda ****
The hotel is situated on the waterfront and is only seconds away from St. Mark’s Square and the centre of Venice. It has excellent views of St. Mark’s basin and the Island of San Giorgio. Its facilities include restaurant, bar, 24-hour reception, newspapers, terrace, non-smoking rooms, elevator, express check-in/check-out, safety deposit box, luggage storage and breakfast buffet. Services include room service, babysitting/child services, laundry, breakfast in the room, ironing service and free Wi-Fi internet access. It is within walking distance of the opera house.
Hotel Ala ***
A short walk from St. Mark's Square, the Academy of Fine Arts, the Fenice theatre, Palazzo Grassi and Ca' Rezzonico. Decidedly among the most outstanding of three star hotels in Venice. What is now Hotel Ala was in fact a house, of which historical traces exist from the early eighteenth century, as can be seen on paintings, including one by Canaletto. The building was made into a hotel only in the 1960s and it has been managed by the Salmaso family for over 15 years. Hotel Ala has two different wings with a total of 85 bedrooms, which have been renovated recently with every modern convenience. It is within walking distance of the opera house.
